Senior Finance Manager

Having found our Product-Market Fit, we are now on a mission to build our GTM and scale commercially. We are looking for someone entrepreneurial and resourceful to be our first finance hire to support that mission. This is a greenfield role: you will get to own the function end-to-end, and build it from the ground up. You will be highly visible, and have a ton of impact, as you help to guide the company on a journey through launching in new markets, raising future funding rounds, hiring a kickass team, and lots more.

Responsibilities:

• Create and own a 3-year business plan, making sure our forecasts reflect the reality of the business
• Build and own the reporting dashboards that enable the company to understand how it is performing vs. plan
• Support sales and marketing in understanding and driving GTM efficiencies, e.g. via reporting on LTV, cost per lead, cohort analyses
• Conduct monthly spend analysis, and identify areas for savings
• Manage and support an outsourced accountant (Steuerberater) in preparing monthly reporting, tax filings and all other statutory reporting
• Prepare financial reporting, and commentary for the board and other shareholders
• Guide the business on making value-based decisions and maximising the return on our capital
• Own and build our finance infrastructure, covering tools, processes, payments & banking partners
• Manage our cash and improve our cash forecasting, AR & AP processes

This role will report directly to Claudia, our VP Operations, and work closely with the leadership on decisions around company budget and strategy. As part of the hiring process, you will meet other key stakeholders for the role: Christian, our VP Sales, Luis, our Head of Marketing, and Jan, our CEO and Founder.

Requirements

Must-haves

• You've got some hands-on experience in a finance role within a cool VC-backed startup.
• You're a self-starter who can work independently, as you'll kick things off as the only member of our finance team. This means setting your own goals, taking ownership, and solving problems with just a smidge of support.
• You've got great communication skills that can adapt to any audience, whether it's our CEO, the leaders of sales & marketing, PMs, investors, or anyone else.
• You're a wiz at using Excel/Google Sheets, and you're familiar with databases and BI tools.
• You're a big-picture person who doesn't miss the small stuff - we love that you pay attention to details!

Nice-to-have

• Experience in a B2B SaaS, with ARR as the north star metric
• German language skills and/or some knowledge of German accounting standards
